This intricate process involves hand-piercing the porcelain body with rice-shaped perforations and filling them with clear glaze before firing to create translucent "windows" that glow beautifully when held to the light.

The set is hand-painted in a classic blue and white palette with significant cultural motifs:
Shou (Longevity) Symbol: The interior well of the cups and the center of the saucers feature the stylized Shou medallion, an auspicious symbol representing a wish for a long and healthy life.
Floral Translucency: The body of each piece features a sunburst floral pattern formed by the translucent "rice grains".
Traditional Borders: The pieces are finished with a delicate underglaze blue diaper border at the rims and petal-inspired motifs at the base.
